Similar films and Production Companies
The genre of our portfolio is horror. We researched different movies on the genre horror: There's someone in your house, Birdbox, Hush, Babysitter, and Paranormal activity. These movies get their money from the production companies and from previous movies that they've previously made. Some companies that specialize in films of the horror genre include bluegrass films, Wonderland Sound, Vision New Line Cinema, Blumhouse Productions Intrepid Pictures, Paramount Pictures Studios, and DreamWorks Pictures. The production companies I mentioned are also some production companies of the movies I chose, meaning they associate with the horror genre.
Production companies and why I chose them
Big production companies and studios are better than small ones ,I say this because they contain more contain more money and workers that are more experienced because of how many movies.films have been produced by the company already. Netflix could be an ideal distribution company for my film because my film is a horror genre and Netflix produces many horror movies and they become popular. Blumhouse Productions is a production company that could be ideal for making my film. I say this because this production company specializes in making low-budget films, but at the same time making some of the most famous ones. Paranormal activity was one of these movies that had a low budget and gained millions after it was released.
Disney has many different production companies, which means that different movies from different production companies can have different ratings. A movie produced by Pixar would have a different rating than a movie produced by Marvel Studios because one is for children and one is for adults/teens. Different production companies also have different genres and ways of showing their movie(animation, SFX, and real-life) which can decide which audience they will pull in,My film would exibitited in a movie theater and not television,Some theaters that my film would be shown in include AMC,Cineworld, and Cinemark.These specific theaters were chosen because they are theaters that are are hundreds of locations meaning lots of money could be made from various sites.
