Technology
As we filmed our shots, the only technology we used was our phones. This was because it was the fastest and easiest technology to use for our group. Using our phones also allowed us to easily transfer our shots to each other and to edit them. As we filmed, I learned that you can easily zoom in while recording on the phone by sliding your finger forward. I also learned that we must use a dark filter when editing because the lighting in the school is too bright for our horror film. We didn't use any tutorials as we filmed, but we did research horror film components to know what components should be in our shots before we started filming.

Before we started filming we researched horror movie components. Horror films contain many components but one of the main components of horror films we used was the handheld and Point of view shots. Both of these horror film components are imperative because they create tension and fear, which is what we are trying to create.
Our first shot is an introduction to villian. It was inspired by the same introduction to villian opening scene as the Conjuring, which was used to introduce a possesed doll.
