There are many horror movies some are even what my movie has gained inspiration from Birdbox and Paranormal activity, Different horror movies have different budgets, but some horror films still do really well with grabbing people's attention and making their movies popular without millions of dollars. Paranormal activity is one example while only having 15,000 USD but earning over 100 million, later on, making its movies later to have a bigger budget to use. For example, Paranormal Activity 2 had a budget of 3 million, and Paranormal Activity 3 had a 5 million budget.
Another movie I will give an example of is Birdbox. Birdbox's budget was 19.8 million USD and later made millions after the movie was released. Horror movies' average budget is about 13 million this is how they make it because horror is one of the most-watched genres and the production companies gain millions making it easier for horror movies to be made. These movies get their money from the production companies and from previous movies that they've previously made.
Big production companies and studios are better than small ones ,I say this because they contain more contain more money and workers that are more experienced because of how many movies.films have been produced by the company already. Blumhouse Productions is a big production company I think would be ideal for making my film. I say this because this production company specializes in making low-budget films, but at the same time making some of the most famous ones. Paranormal activity was one of these movies that had a low budget and gained millions after it was released. Paranormal activities budget was $15.000 but gained about $190.000.000.
A filmmaker would convince a production company their movie is worth funding by doing many things,Those components include making a script/summary of the film,gathering a cast and crew,and ,proving that the money the production company provided will be repayed.All these components should be included in a film proposal that will be used to convince a production company that the movie is worth funding.One way I would gain everyone's money back is by releasing my movie onto a popular film streaming app: Netflix, Hulu, and Disneyplus. Another way I would gain everyone's money back is by people cognizant of my movie aswell.Making people aware that my movie exists through ads and memes on social media because that's whats popular in today's society.
